Heritage Square Museum Wedding

I didn't realize how much of a surprise I was in for until I arrived at the venue of Jason and Leng's wedding. History was my favorite subject in school so I was beyond excited when I realized I had arrived at a pocket of land frozen in time. The venue was a tiny plot of land adorned with buildings of the Victorian style. While dropping off bouquets in the bridal room, I noticed even the furniture lived up to the authenticity of the place. This atmosphere was perfect for a vintage inspired wedding.

Bridal Bouquet
Bridesmaid Bouquet My favorite part of this wedding was that the bride and groom decided to have a lunch hour in front of the venue's barn. They provided me with different sized bottles to fill with blooms.
Lunch Hour Centerpieces After the ceremony, friends and family gathered at Capital Seafood Restaurant for continued celebrations. When sourcing for this wedding, I found a birch treated vessel. I knew it would be a perfect match for this event and the bride and groom loved it.
Reception Centerpiece This wedding was also the first time I decorated a cake with irises. The entire time I just kept thinking why haven't I done this before?! The flower just opens up so pretty and really brings the perfect pop of color.
And pretty much for the entirety of this wedding, I could not stop exclaiming how much these tulips looked like peonies.
Cake Decor & Toss Bouquet I cannot stress how appreciative I am of my clients. This year they coincidentally spoiled me with four consecutive purple weddings. I had the best time styling the same shade of florals for each wedding. I can't say thank you enough so here's more pictures I took back at the shop.
These tulips were such a dream. They bloom in a way I could have never imagined. They are definitely going on my list of peony substitutes when peonies are on hiatus.
And speaking of peony sub-ins, these garden roses are also perfect for the job. I always recommend these if a bride wants peonies during its off season.

Groom Boutonniere
Groom & Groomsmen Boutonnieres And just to give you an idea of how we package our personal flowers, (e.g. bouquets, boutonnieres, family flowers, etc) I usually like to include tags just in case I'm not there to pin everyone.
I was very happy with how the bridesmaid bouquets turned out. I must remember that tulips + spray roses + irises = textury floral goodness.
And the bridal bouquet. I think this photo is the perfect one to wrap up this post. Much thanks to Jason & Leng for trusting me with their special day! Wishing you both the very best! :)
